Back in Black

So once again like all the other times in my life, its been a shitstorm over the last few months. Id like to take the time to tell you everything that went down, however I do not have enough time or energy. But the bottom line is, I have moved to St. Louis, and am no longer in Kansas City. GF and I broke up, I guess our relationship just finally ran its course. Wish I would have known that it was gonna end this way, because I wouldnt have passed up some other opportunities. After moving to St. Louis, I got a job as a recruiter. And I love it. I screen, qualify, interview, hire and orientate? new employees. Its a pretty cool job and I get to talk to/judge people all day, which is right up my alley. So anyway thats a brief rundown of whats been going on.

Why did I decide to post again? Well for one after GF and I broke up I didnt have steady internet access, and two what better time to make a comeback than after my boys down south took care of some business last night. Let me just say, thats what happens when you step to the SEC. If you would have told me that Auburn would only score 22 points and win, I woulda told you that you are fucking crazy. In a game that had the nations two best offenses, it was the D that proved to be to much. Auburn held James in check for the majority of the game, gave up some big plays, but held stout when it counted especially on a 4th and goal from the one yard line. Now granted oregon came back to tie and had a chance to win, but that right there was the play that sealed oregons fate. I knew after that happened oregon would not win. What a game though, gotta give both teams a lot of credit.

Now the big story with all of this is that everyone says Cam Newton and Auburn cheated, and that Auburn paid cam newton to come play at Auburn. Look everyone has their opinion on this matter, and my gut seems to think there may have been some foul play going on here. BUT untill there are facts about this situation, it needs to be left alone. So much he said she said bullshit out there. I was listening to mike and mike this morning, and Greenie brought up an excellent point, if indeed they find out some stuff about Auburn and the Newtons down the road, should AU be penalized by being stripped of a national title? The NCAA ruled cam ineligible, Auburn appealed and then the NCAA ruled him elegible. Auburn says are we able to play this kid? Is he eligible to play? and the NCAA said yes. So at that point and time, what else should they have done? This is alll assuming Auburn had nothing to do with anything, but if it comes down to it, I do not think they should strip the National Title. But lets focus on the bigger picture here, and that is the cheating that runs rampant through college sports. It happens at ALOT of schools, and the better kids get the more cutthroat these agents, scammers, boosters etc. are going to get. This has been going on for years, and will continue to do so. Wanting to see your team win so bad will cause some people to do some crazy things.

Enough about that. When I return, I am going to take a retrospective look at the NBA draft (and my predictions) and the first half of the season thus far. Should be a good post, I encourage you to read. All one of you. Have a great day all.

Tonight was the annual NBA draft lottery, and I would like to take this time to tell you I HATE THE LOTTERY. (I cant lie, I was not saying that same thing when Bulls won the lotto and picked Derrick Rose, but that is beside the point) The lotto just is not fair. It needs to be record based such as the NFL and MLB. While I like the anticipation and the prevention of tanking, its just not fair for a team that is legitimately terrible. They deserve the best possible chance to make their team better. Weve seen it year after year, teams with low chances to win the #1 pick, end up winning. And in the case of some teams (San Antonio) it can create a dynasty. So tonight we had the Nets and the Wolves the two worst teams in the NBA, with the best "chance" to get the top picks. Except its a lottery and that did not happen. They instead got the 3rd and 4th picks. Now the Wolves I just laugh at because they are just a failure of an organization that it doesnt even matter. They could have won and they would have picked someone like DeMarcus Cousins even though they have two really good big men. Last year was a disaster picking two pgs, neither of which turned out to be a top rookie, and one of which went back to europe. So here we go, I am going to attempt a mock lotto draft. A lot of Mock Drafts simply go with the bes talent available, and while in some cases I cant argue with that I tend to believe that you should chose the person who best fits your team within reason. EVERYONE has turner going second, but is he that much better than Favors to where you ignore a team need? I dont think so. This is one mans opinion albeit probably not a popular one.

1. Wizards --John Wall Lets be honest, as much as the lotto sucks, they needed this. With all the drama over this season, trading away the bulk of their team, and needing a franchise facelift the Wiz will be able to selct a surefire player in John Wall. I think he will be a perfect fit for this team. Some say Arenas may leave and if he does that they should select Turner. I still think that they should pick Wall. I dont think he will be as dominate right away as Rose and Evans were, but I think he is a better playmaker than either and this team (especially with Arenas) has some talent and adding Wall into the mix could push them back to around a 40 win team.

2. 76ers -- Derrick Favors This is an interesting pick. I dont really feel like Turner fits well with this team as he is esentially similar players to Igoudala and Thadeous Young. Turner is not a great shooter (36% 3pt) and in college he really took advantage of his size and quickness. Does that gap tighten now that he is in the NBA? I actually like Favors with this pick. Athletic size is coveted, and this kid is a beast at 6-10 215. Avg 12.4 pts, 8.4 rebs, and 2blks per game for a pretty mediocre GA Tech team. When your frontcourt consists of Elton Brand, Maurice Speights, and Samuel Dalembert, I dont think you take a 6-7 SG. Especially when you have AI, and Young.

3. New Jersey -- Evan Turner. Nets fans and brass are probably crying, weeping, sobing and drinking a lot of alcohol at the sound of hearing they landed at #3. But if my scenario plays out they will be estatic. This is a perfect fit for the Nets, as they dont really have a player who can dominate with the ball in his hands. Teaming him with Deven Harris and Brook Lopez will give the Nets a great core to build around for the future.

4. Minnesota -- Wesley Johnson If they could use this draft pick for a front office that might be better for the timberwolves than an actual player. BUT since they cant do that I think they choose Wesley Johnson. They need a slasher and someone who cant dominate taking the ball to the rack, and Johnson fits the billing. A decent shooter, I think Johnson will make the Wolves a better team, Al Jefferson, Kevin Love, Wes Johnson, Corey Brewer and Johnny Flynn is not a terrible starting lineup. However the rest of the team is just plain awful and that is why they wont be a more than mediocre. Though remember when I said they would screw the first pick up by taking DeMarcus Cousins? Well I can forsee David Kahn messing up this pick and doing just that. For wolves fans (looking around, anyone, anyone?) I hope that doesnt happen.

5. Sacramento -- DeMarcus Cousins. Sacramento could really really REALLY use a good shooting guard to complement Evans, and they have a decent front line of Landry, Hawes, and Thompson. But the next best guard/forward prospect is probably Gordon Heyward or Xavier Henry and that would be a BIG BIG REACH here. I think if someone told Sacramento that they could have Cousins at this pick they probably wouldnt have the made the Landry/Martin trade, because a martin type is what they could use. You just cant pass up the physical specimen that is Cousins because I feel the talent drop-off gets significant. Aminu is an option here but he is pretty much like Landry and I could envision Sac-Town trading this pick, but if not Cousins is there man.

6. Golden State -- Ekpe Udoh. Could there be a better fit of player and team in this draft? Udoh basically played in the college version of the Golden State Warriors at Baylor, and was a beast on the boards and defensive end for the Bears, averaging 9.8 boards and 3.7 blocks. Yes that 3.7 is not a typo, trust me I saw him do terrible things to my Mizzou Tigers in this department. For the Warriors full season players Corey Maggatte was the leading rebounder (Tolliver and Biedrins each played about half season but lets face it, Udoh sleepwalking is probably better than those two) and they need someone who can hit the boards and then outrun everyone down to the other end. I can see Udoh making his way up the board as we get closer to the draft and GState might have to trade up to get him, but they should make every attempt to do so, as a player of this caliber added to the talent they currently have makes this team downright scary.

7. Detroit -- Al-Farouq Aminu. After a disasterous offseason last year, I hope the pistons make some better decisions this year, and first it starts with a good draft. I think they will look upside with this pick, and at this point I dont see anyone who fits perfectly on this team that makes a no brainer pick. Prince and Hamilton are not getting any younger, and with Ben Gordon on the team a guard would not get any shots, so I think they go with Al-Farouq Aminu. A talented F out of wake forest Aminu avg 15 pts and 9 rebs last year for the deacs. I dont know if he will start right away for them, but the talent is there for the future.

8. L.A. Clippers -- Luke Babbit. Another team that could use a g/f type slasher, but there just isnt one I would take here. The clips have the luxury of getting two lottery picks this year (Blake Griffin), and I could definitely see a trade at this spot. With a solid frontline already in tact, im not sure where another PF type fits in. You dont take someone with the 8th pick to play behind or to compete with blake griffin, so to me that rules out Monroe, and Ed Davis. Aldrich is basically a clone of Chris Kaman only less talented, and Daniel Orton/Deandre Jordan are essentially the same thing. To me the best fit here would be Luke Babbit or Xavier Henry. Both a reach at this point, but each could move up the board with strong workouts. For a team that is looking to win with what they have now, I think Babbit will be the best fit sliding in at SF He avged 21pts and 9rebs 42% 3pt while at Nevada and can create his shot. Davis, Gordon, Babbit, Griffin, Kaman is a pretty solid lineup.I would look for a trade in this spot, but if not and I know its a stretch but I take babbit.

9. Utah -- Greg Monroe It would be really funny if they selected Cole Aldrich here, but I am just not sold on Aldrich. Ive watched him the past two years in the Big 12 and he is just NOT a lottery pick talent wise. He has hit his maximized potential, and I just do not think spending a lottery pick on Aaron Gray is a good idea. This is a team that definitely needs a SG/SF type but there isnt really one that they should take and I already used my OMG shocker pick with Babbit (Hopefully he prooves me right and is better than Luke Jackson) so well go safe here. Monroe might be the most talented big man in the draft and would be great piece to the jazz puzzle, especially if they can land a quality SG in Free Agency. Monroe avg 16pts 9rebs 3.8ast and 1.5 blocks per game at Gtown. He should be able to step in and contribute right away

10. Indiana -- Cole Aldrich A lot of people have Ed Davis or Patrick Patterson here but again I just dont see how either of them fit in with this team. Didnt you just draft tyler hansborough? Why then would you draft patrick patterson? I think biggest need is PG as Ford is a chandelier, and there is no viable back-up, but I think Avery Bradley is the best PG prospect and well that is just scary, because he is not that good (OR let me say he is not ready to be good in the NBA). SO in this dream land, cole aldrich is sitting on the board and Indiana doesnt pass it up. He does add so much needed toughness and him and hansborough can clean the glass for years. Im not going to put his stats because i dont want to spend that much time on a gayhawk.

11. New Orleans -- Ed Davis Im not the biggest believers in this type of player in the NBA i.e. a weakling, but I watch a lot of Carolina basketball and the kid is talented thats for sure. The Hornets could used a skilled big man, I say that because they have some frontcourt depth but they dont have any skills. West is more of a pick an pop sort of player and they really dont have a solid back to the basket big guy and Davis can provide that.

12. Memphis -- Donatas Motiejunas I dont know anything about this dude but a lot of mocks have him here, so thats what i am doing to.

13. Toronto -- Hassan Whiteside again i dont know much about him, but i do know that the raptors will need a big body to replace Chris Bosh, and this kid is loaded with talent. Question is does he turn into Kwame Brown or Dwight Howard? Avg 13pts 9rebs and 5.6 blks a game at Marshall, so the talent is there.

14. Houston -- Patrick Paterson solid big who can give the Rockets depth up front.

Time for bed.

So not having continual internet access reall kills the blog. So the posts have not been that frequent, i apologize. And i realize i am apologizing to nobody, but nonetheless I apologize. Anyway work has been going well, I have not made any sales yet, but asking people to commit to a couple grand is more of a process than anything. So ill let you know when i get the monkey off my back. But everyone is cool and I like talking football with people. I hope it ends in some good things. Im excited for summer to be here, playing sports more often and going to concerts. there is a pretty good lineup in KC so im pretty pumped. So today I want to tackle my opinion about the conference realignment in college sports. Its been made no secret that the Big 10 is looking to expand. One of the main pundits in all the talk is Missouri. Let me just say I would love Mizzou to move to the big ten. I grew up with the big eight (the conference prior to the Big 12) then the Big 12. And while I appreciate the history with the big 8 schools, (The other 4 can essentially go fuck themselves) I dont think its to much to stay with the big 12. So lets put it this way, if the big 10 offers mizzou will leave. They should do this for a number of reasons, more money more prestige and more TV exposure. As you know the big 10 has equal revenue sharing, and its own TV network. Additionally they are the most prestigous academic conference in the country outside the Ivy League. Mizzou has some pretty prestigous schools itself and by jumping into the Big 10 with more revenue to be shared for research, facility upgrades etc. just imagine where the J-School, Vet School, Buisness School, could go. The main arguments against this move are leaving behind our rivalaries and recruiting in Texas may take a hit. Well Im sorry to break it to whoever is against this because of those reasons but the decision will not be made based on football recruiting. PLUS there is no guarentee that it would take a hit. And the kids we usually get are kids that UT, OU, and TAM, usually pass over. So all of a sudden someone else is scooping these kids up? Yea like who? You going to tell me a kid is going to pick Rice, TCU, Houston, OKState, Kstate, etc. over mizzou because they arent in the Big 12? Hate to break it to you, but the answer is no. Rivalaries are one thing that come and go, just as we currently do with Illinois, we would schedule KU in most olympic sports and that rivalry will never die. Neb in football, is only recently becoming hotter because we have gotten better at football, but prior to 2003 we had not beat them for 24 years. So when it all boils down, Mizzou to the Big 10 is a sure thing.

Now lets turn to the next issue in regards to this. Superconferences. Many tend to think that once the big 10 completes its expansion, which could include 5 teams (most likely MU, NU, Rutgers, Cuse, Pitt) Then the other leagues begin to cherrypick the big 12 teams for their own superconference. I have seen alot of peoples projections, but i am stealing this one because its the one i agree with the most overall

The PAC-10 adds UT, aTm, OU, Oklahoma State or Texas Tech, CU, and then either Utah or Boise State for their final spot.
SEC nabs Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), Florida State, and Texas Tech or Oklahoma State (one ends up PAC-10 and the other here).
ACC needs to add nine teams, so prepare for the greatest basketball conference the world has ever seen as they add KU, KSU, Louisville, West Virginia, UConn, Cincinnati, South Florida, Baylor, and Memphis.
Note: All FB and BB schools.Big 12 done. Big East done. The remaining Big East schools who do not play football end up split between the A10 and Conference USA.

Now i dont agree with this entirely but its the best ive seen. As another thing that i have read that i like is the playoffs within each conference.
Each superconference of 16 has two divisions of 8 or 4 divisions of 4. In this situation the top 4, either top two in the 8s or top 1 in the 4s. Those 4 have a playoff and the winners of the SCs then enter a playoff of 8, 6 superconference winners and 2 at large bids, all the rest fall in line with bowl games. I love this. Love love love it. BUT who knows if it would happen.

So what does this all mean? That in the next two-three college sports as you currently know it, will no longer exist. Everything will change, people will be moving and while change can be disheartening to some, I welcome it. I think it will happen and I hope it will. Just as long as KU gets fucked somehow hahaha.

Anyway Im out for now, im still working on big 12 preview for Bball next year, now that everyone that matters has pretty much signed somewhere.

American Idol

Let me preface by saying i can only watch one of two things while its being DVR and id rather live blog about idol than dwtstars.

7:00pm: Well its the start of my first live blog, I only choose American Idol because its culturally relevant and I like it. He hate me rod smart knows whats up. So tonight is top 9 (again) because last week amurrica inexplicably voted off big mike (one of my personal favs) but the judges saved him and this week two will be going home.

7:04pm: The theme is announced and its elvis pressly. I enjoy when they do legends as they did the stones and beatles previously but do you not think Elvis lends an advantage to the guys? You would think but it never ceases to amaze me when the contestants do not take control of an advantage. Its as if they dont think sometime and are just caught up in being on idol, rather than trying to WIN a competition. The mentor is Adam Lambert. WHO? I mean i know who he is but really the mentor is adam lambert? I get ursher and hannah montana but lambert blows. GIMME KELLY DAMNIT!

7:08pm: Crystal Bowersox up and adam lambert gives her some stupid advice, and shes singing a song i did not catch but it doesnt really matter because she is probably the best contestant and shell be right there in the end. I really like her evolution, at first she was obviously talented but was not embracing IDOL. Now she is and you can see it in her body language, her face, her charisma and honestly that would be the only thing holding her back, but shes startin to get some swag.

Randy is up and lets set the over under on yo's at 21 and dawgs at 15, and hot at 6 im picking over for all of them.
2yos. 1hot. says it was hot. and randy once again offers nothing
Ellen sucks and stutters and says she is going to be a broken record. Wait really ellen, you are going to be a broken record? Never ADDS anything to whats being said. I dont really get having her on the show.
Kara says something and Simon likes it. its obvious they all like her and she is going to be around to the end. I like those set of comments short and sweet.

7:16pm: Andrew Garcia is up. And seacrest asks him about another contestant (big mike) dont get asking something like that but garcia answers well. Hes singing hound dog, lambert says its boring as his hair stands 7 feet tall. Im sorry lambert but you are boring and should not be giving anyone advice. Tells AG to step up his game. Well not shit sherlock. its american fucking idol you better step up your game

AG starts terribly, and I can already tell the judges arent going to like it. Probably will say something about kareokee , loungy, boring, or musical something to that effect. But it will be right. And now he is trying to make up for it by using a lot of the stage. Ugghh what a BLAH performance,
Randy: 3yos, and there we go first word Kareokee..
Ellen: Says he pulled it off, yet another example of why she shouldnt be there
Kara: You gotta own it. She is right.
Simon: Lazy, unpredictable, musical like, says he has no coolness. And they cut simon off.
Seacrest asks ellen what she sees that nobody else does and she says that she really likes it. I dont know why they even let her talk. When she does its just so out of place it makes me shake my head. That performance was terrible. NO SWAG doing elvis? is that possible? Are you on a local version of american idol? No you are on AMERICAN IDOL the top 9 and thats what you come out with, and probably one of the easier vocal songs from elvis. I have never like AG and he needs to go bottom line. And next up tim. Im afraid lambert might sexually assault this zack efron wannabe. We will see. I bet lambert at least acts more excited.

7:26 -- tim is up and is singing cant help falling in love. At least Tim picked a good song for him. But lambert says hes pushing tim beyond comfort level and obviously AL has not watched the previous episodes because that is not what tim is good at.

Decent start but they are going to tell him they need more or something like that, too safe etc. That is the problem with tim, when he plays it safe he usually does it well and rocks out. When he tries to do more he SUCKS. I dont want an idol to be safe. I could do that shit

Randy: 2 yos - says I like it.
Ellen: Talks about being an alocholic, then compares it to liking tim.
Kara: Best Tim performance
Simon: zero to hero

Well they all liked it, and to be honest I did to. But I want more. I dont think Tim has more, but when he does what he is good at he does it well. I thought tim was garbage at first, which he was, but I think he is finally realizing that this is more than just getting his 15mins of fame and he has a shot. Thanks to those dashing good looks and singer/songwriter vibe that all the ladies love. Good job Tim didnt expect that from you. But it was really safe, but weve seen what happens when you dont play it safe.

so far 1.Bowersox 2.Tim 78.Andrew garcia

7:36 Lee Dewyze is up and Lambert is actually giving a good bit of advice. Lee looks like a scared puppy at all times

Singing a little less conversation and a reall good shot to rock out.
He does a good job, but nothing to wow me or make me think you are an idol. Which has been his problem all along

Randy: 5yos Says it was good
Ellen: Broken record
Kara: Points out he took a chance on his vocals, and shes right
Simon: Argues with kara about god knows what, then says he nails it.

For someone who has gotten positive feedback almost every single week, this is like the first time ever he is smile

7:41 Aaron Kelly and he rightfully is scared of lambert. Singing blue suede shoes. I think hes got the best voice but can a 16 yr old be the american idol. Not yet kid.

He obviously can sing, but his stage presence lacks seasoning and once he gets that he will be great. He doesnt look like he is enjoying his own performance, but lays a sweet breakdown.

Randy 3yos: Half and half says half was good halfs was not.
Ellen: Stutter stutter stutter uhhh uhhh to totto today junior. Says he does a good job
Kara: Says she likes the out of the comfort zone
Simon: Disagrees with kara (wierd) likens it to a high school talent show. didnt like it.

I would have to agree most with simon. The kid is just a few years away from this show. Which unfortunately for him wont be around in a few years. Up next siobhan. She may mate with AL.

7:51-- Siobhan up singing suspicious minds. Adam Lambert sucks. just plain and simple.

I cant question her talent, but I still question her place in this show. Who is voting for her? Not the people who will matter if it comes to record sales. And I for one am sooooooooooooooooo over the scream note. Its not even really that impressive. SING me a note.

Randy ONLY 1yo: Good vocals etc.
Ellen: you look great and repeats exactly what randy said, almost VERBAITUM
Kara: Actually points out the problem
Simon: Everyone hates simons opinions but he alwas gets it right. always>

Siobhan talks about how she isnt a label type of girl afterwards and while she is right, I feel thats what Idol wants. Define your style and genre. It was not a good performance and you have to be sad when tim urban did better than you. so far 1. CB 2. TU 3. LD 4. AK 5. SM 68. AG

8:03 Big Mike up singing in the Ghetto. He is my favortie. And i dont know why he was voted off, but he does need to bring it. he has great vocal ability and great personality. Going acoustic already starts well. Missed a note there a little flat but keeps on trucking. You can actually feel the emotion when he sings. Which is something that cant be said from most of the other contestants. Good job big mike. That was great.

Randy 4yos: 2hots: Great vocals
Ellen: Glad we saved u
Kara: Great Job
Simon: Million times better

8:11 Katie Stevens up singing baby what do you want me to do. Saying she is frustrated with the judges. This chic can sing, its to bad shes not like ridiculously hot or she would have already won.

For someone who is 17 she can own the stage, and i actually am liking her performance right now. she is rocking out. Missing some notes here and there someone might say pitchy. put it on the board.

Randy 2yos: Nice vocals, sassy, entertaining
Ellen: Says its a horny song, (alot of horns in it)
Kara: Showed us whats up
Simon: Loud and annoying, didnt like the song. Ends up saying they liked it so it doesnt matter what i think.
I think she did a good job, and she has got great charisma and confidence for a 17yr old. Best voice IMO.

8:20 Casey james up singing lawdy mrs. clawdy, I think he has the best chance to win as a male, he is like lee dwyze with swagger and stage presence, and personality. He is the most overall talented male, and I think he will end up in the top 3

Giving a normal casey james performance, outstanding.

Randy 2yos: Nothing different solid
Ellen: Not exciting enough but always good
Kara: Not up to expectation
Simon: Wasted opportunity, but good vocals.
Here is a prime example of a contestant not siezing the opportunity of an advantage, the Elvis show is made for casey james. and thats what he picks and sings? It was good, but he shoulda rocked it out and he didnt.

So what to make of this episode. Nobody played catchup to the favorites Bowersox & James but the dynamic seems to be changing. Siobhan early favorite seems to be going downhill, Tim an early target seems to be hitting his stride. The youngins have seemingly flipp flopped, and well andrew was the same (terrible) and lee was the same (boring)

if i had to rate it i would go with
1. Bowersox
2. Big Mike
3. Casey James
4. Lee Dwyze
5. Tim Urban
6. Katie Stevens
7. Aaron Kelly
8. Siobhan Magnus
9. Andrew Garcia

Thats not who i think will go home however. I think it will be Garcia and Kelly. Aaron Seems to have hit the wall, and Garcia just sucks. My top 3 Bowersox, James, Big Mike. My next two is stevens and dwyze.
Est 24 yos from randy, 0 things said by ellen that were not said by randy except tequilla reference and horny. Just a strange woman.

Well im done. This was probably not very insightful, funny, or worth reading but it helped pass my time. Next I am working on my Big 12 Early Basketball Preview.

day off

So I realized that having a blog would require me to have more access to the internet than i currently have but I am still going to do my best. So my job situation over the past year has been a nightmare. So lets just tell that whole story. 2 summers ago I did an internship for a independent league baseball team, the Sussex Skyhawks. I have always wanted to work in sports and this was a great opportunity. So I went to new jersey for the summer and busted my ass for this baseball team doing a variety of things, ticket sales, promo sales, sponsorship sales, media relations, on field promotions, stadium maintenance, running the ticket office, develop my own promotion day, the list literally goes on. Well after that I was pretty much sold on the fact that that was what i wanted to do. Well at the time I had a gf and she had graduated and moved to Kansas City for her job. As the semester winded down and i graduated that december, I accepted a job for a marketing company and had planned to move to KC. Well about christmas time my old boss emailed me about moving back to the northeast and being a marketing rep for one of his hockey teams as he had just accepted a job to be VP of Marketing for a hockey league in the northeast This is the entire reason i went to my internship, to bust my ass, make a good impression and get my foot in the door after I graduated. At this point I had quite a decision on my hand. I really wanted the sports job but also did not want to leave my gf of three years behind. Follow my dreams of follow my love? Well we had the ol h2h talk and she says come to KC i love you i want to spend my life with you etc. etc. chic flic bullshit blah blah blah...And sooooo I did I gave up my job offer and moved to Kansas City. Well the marketing company I worked for was the standard pyramid scheme marketing company, you do this for 6 months then your a leader, then you do this for 6 months and your a manager, you do this for 6 months then you are a director of an office blah blah blah. If youve ever had to search for a job you have probably run across this type of thing. And its the worst. I worked one day. The job consisted of "marketing" quiznos. And what my job task was, was to drive around to businesses in the metro area and solicit coupon sheets to them. You know you get them in the mail or sometimes with your order, well these were you standard BOGO coupons, 5 dollar off, free delivery, etc. I sold them for 5 dollars and made commision of them and no hourly wage. And you are wondering why I lasted a day?

So I quit with nothing else lined up for the next two months (Jan-Feb 09) I searched for jobs in KC with no luck. Finally I just got to the point where I decided to take ANYTHING just so i could have some money. So i get hired on with GE in the consumer finance division as a customer service rep. Lay terms. Credit card call center. decent pay and great benefits, leadership oppos, tuition reimbursement ( and this should have been my first red flag, they only did undergrad reimbursement....but wait i already have a bachelors degree..and as i came to find out, i was about the only one in the entire building who had one.) So it doesnt sound to bad and all i do is talk anyway so it seems fitting. At first it wasnt to awful people made me chuckle about how dumb, irresponsible, and mean they were. But it got OLD real quick. Every day all day, people yelling at you for no reason, dealing with peopls bullshit stories (once told a customer that they could not bullshit a bullshiter, yea definitely got in trouble for that.) about why they couldnt pay their bill, yet they still went out and used their credit card like it was going out of style. Some didnt understand that they needed to pay the money back, most people were old (because lets face it, anyone who is young, smart, responsible, etc. pays online and understands things like interest rates, late fees, credit limits, credit scores etc. ) and old people dont know shit. Trying to walk an old person through logging onto a website, or registering on a website, is like the most annoying most frustrating shit ever. I also hated the corporate bullshit i had to put up with. No bend, no break, no nothing. Play it by the book all day everyday, if you go against that you get in trouble. I understand the reasoning and logic behind that sometimes but seriously cut me some slack. It really IS NOT MY FAULT if im twenty mins late because there was an accident on the highway that backed up traffic for miles. I lived in kansas, and kansas drivers fucking suck. there was a wreck on i35 on a daily basis, i left 45 mins early to get somewhere that took me 15 mins, just to compensate for the inevitable wreck.

So Jan '10 my buddy says he can get my on at the IRS doing tax returns, boring work but easy and work on your own kinda thing. I would get paid more money and it was two blocks from my house? hell yea. It was a seasonal 5 month position, and I thought that would really give me time to search for a job i liked/wanted in sports because i was tired of doing stuff i hated. Well I started on Feb first and trained for 1 week. They didnt tell you this when they hire you so as to not scare you off, but after training they lay you off until the work picks up. Oh great. Well im thinking a week or two, kinda thing. Nope two fucking months. TWO MONTHS. Not doing shit, everyday thinking I was going to start working again the next day. Well I finally gave up on that and started applying for jobs elsewhere. I apply to a job with the Kansas City Chiefs that I get called to do an interview for. I go in and rock the bitch like I always do. (Ive never been interviewed for a job and not gotten it.) Start date is April 15th. Well i dont hear anything for awhile and i just assume i didnt get it. So then about a week ago i get called back to the IRS. Man I was at least glad to get to work so i could have some money. I start working there and then the NEXT day find out about the Chiefs Job. I got it. Of course i did! So after all this bullshit Ive been through I finally have gotten my break starting thursday. And I am not going to deviate from my plan this time. And ill never do anything for a chic again. Today was my last day at the IRS and I am glad becuase i was seriously bored out of my fucking mind. GEESH! So I am going to be a ticket sales rep for the chiefs, and im pumped to get to talk about football all day. Cant wait. Ok well im done for now. Upcoming post about Mizzou Sports will be following later this evening or tomorrow.

I will also use this blog as a social media much like facebook and twitter. Though most who view this blog will probably already be on my fb and twitter. but oh well. Funny video about how much KU sucks. also you should play around with this website its really fun, but if you dont have a good server or connection then it takes a really long time to edit and upload but it still fun if you think you are a creative genius.

1st Post

Ive decided to start blogging again. Im sure everyone is thrilled even though I generally have nothing important to say but mindless ramblings about stuff nobody cares about. I havent blogged for quite some time but now everyone is and it seems i was well ahead of the curve with blogging. I stopped blogging because i was made fun of to the point where it made me stop, it also probably had to do with the fact that most of my blogs were me whining like an pussy emo kid. But as a freshman in college where i went to, you would prolly whine like a pussy emo kid to. After transfering to mizzou I had a lot less free time. In college if i had time i liked to spend it drinking or playing sports. Neither of which i do much of anymore. So lots more free time and still the amount of opinions i liked to voice about anything and everything= blog. I dont know if i will actually blog all the time but another reason that has led me to this is blog is the fact that i dont have many friends where i live. Being at school and in a fraternity, no matter what was going on be it sports, movies, school stuff, politics, girls, girls, booze, tvshows, girls, frat stuff (the list goes on) there was always multiple people to discuss, argue and banter with about said topic. Now I have really nobody to do this with. So I will try to put my opinions here. More to come later. BUT FYI if you dont like sports, pop culture, or assholeism, than you wont like my blog. Good day.
